I'm a little obsessed with CSS, I love to design in code, with teams, to solve problems.
I’ve had a lot of job titles over the years including UX developer, Experience designer, Front end developer, User centered designer, Service designer and now Interaction designer.
After completing a three year Fine Art course in 2004 I went on to gain a degree in Product Design and Development from the University of Salford in 2007.
Since then I have I have spent time in both front end developer and design roles. This experience has allowed me to develop my knowledge of the web, browsers, devices and front end technologies helping me to design digital services that meet the needs of users and that are inline with best practice and accessibility standards.
I’m currently Head of Interaction Design for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
In this role I lead a community of between 10 and 15 Interaction designers across Defra promoting and encouraging collaboration across programmes, locations and departments.
